Apple User Tips: Importing Image from Internet

Today's Byte
Dragging image from internet.
It's your friend's birthday and you wish to send a personal birthday greeting via the email
  1.  Open Safari in (click twice)  found in your
                       dock at bottom of screen
Clicking on Safari logs you onto the internet
2. In your search bar at top of screen (it may say search Google)
      Type in  birthday images
  1. When you see the image that you like, click once on the image. You
will see some information about the image.  You should choose an
image that says jpg, meaning jpeg, a format that your computer
and email recognizes.  You will notice the size such as 500x500
0r 1000x1000. If you want a good quality image, the bigger the number
the better; however 500-1000 is about average and will be just fine for
an email.  If you don’t see the image you want, scroll down the page and
     click on other sites.
4. Once you find the image with the above parameters, double click on desired image
5. Click on "Full Size Image" (text) ride side
  1. Drag to desktop for storage (outside of the internet page)or drag directly to postage
stamp in dock, the email symbol

7. Once you drag to email symbol, your email will open & you can resize   by clicking on the image once and placing your curser on one of the perimeter squares.  If you click a corner square, drag diagonally in or out and that will resize your image proportionally. You will have to write the text above or below the image.  If the image is stored on you desktop, you can use it in a pages or keynote document which have their own video tutorials in apple.com
